		<description>Doug, I am not sure about the cost involved but my guess is that it is considerable. 

Try something else first.  Have you ever used Nair for Men? Get some of that and experiment on one spot on  your back to see if it works for you.  Your wife could help you with this. The hair will grow back but it will keep you smooth for a while before you need to use the product again.  A wax treatment is another option.

You might also want to see a dermatologist.
